My name is Glenda, and I'm the eldest daughter of Glyn Marie Hayes Bell and Clayton Cleveland Bell, Sr. I welcome you to this, the website for

The Bell Family Gospel Singers from Temple, Texas.

We made our first public appearance New Year's Eve 1956 at an all-night singing near Gatesville, Texas. We were young, younger and youngest!
Mother played the piano and sang alto (I'll cheat and tell you that she was 19 when I was born.).
Mary was 8 and sang soprano.
I was 11, singing high tenor.

The two Claytons weren't added to the singing group until later. When we started singing in public, Clayton, Jr. was only 5.
